Every February the Nisga'a People celebrate their New Years. The moon represents a ladle holding the the richness of the year. We gather every year to pray it will be a prosperous year in salmon, berries, health and wealth in family.
I dedicate my frist print to my mother, Delhia Nahanee from the Eagle Clan, who has given me life twice. In 2011 my mother donated her kidney to me, which is why the ovoid in the eagle wing is left plain, to represent the richness life givers have.
Wishing you and loved ones all the richness and health!
